Each month, Overtime MMA will feature a member of the month, which is sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings in Plainfield , IL . The member of the month will receive a $20 food certificate to dine at BWW.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Member of the Month for May 2010 is Tim Walters.
Tim Walters is a firefighter/paramedic who lives in Oswego with his wife and two sons. He has been training at Overtime MMA since June of 2009, and enjoys the workouts for their mental and physical challenges.
Tim also enjoys the spirit of competition, and entered his first grappling tournament in April at the NAGA Chicago Championships. Through both the competition and the workouts at the gym, Tim has experienced team unity and camaraderie that has stood out to him. "(NAGA) was a long day but our team fared very well. Everyone competed hard and a lot of medals were brought home. The team camaraderie here at Overtime is great. From the instructors, down to the students, everyone is willing to help out if you have questions or just want to go over some technique."
Tim looks forward to meeting and training with UFC Middleweight Demian Maia during his seminar on June 13th at Overtime MMA.
